DIAGONALIZE THIS

Simultaneous diagonalization of a set of matrices is a technique, which
has numerous applications in statistical signal processing and
multi-variate statistics. Although objective functions in a least
squares sense can be easily formulated, their minimization is not trivial, because constraints and 4th order terms are usually involved.
Most known optimization algorithms are, therefore, subject to certain
restrictions on the class of problems: orthogonal transformations, sets
of symmetric, hermitian or positive definite matrices, to name a few. In
this work we present a new algorithm called QDIAG, that splits the
overall optimization problem into a sequence of simpler second order
sub-problems. There are no restrictions imposed on the transformation
matrix, which may be non-orthogonal, indefnite or even rectangular, and
there are no restrictions, except for one, imposed on the matrices to
be diagonalized, regarding their symmetry or definiteness. We apply the
new method to Second Order Blind Source Separation and show that the
algorithm convergences fast and reliably.
// better English would be : converges //
It allows for an
implementation with a complexity independent of the number of matrices
and, therefore, is particularly suitable for problems dealing with
large sets of matrices.

Klaus,

As a stranger I couldn't come to you, so I set up this site when I was unable to download your software from http://ni.cs.tu-berlin.de/software/

I didn't bother you, thinking maybe the link will soon exist. My hopes came true to see it in the future. Please allow me to have a discussion with you in order to see if it is what I think I am looking for. Maybe I need just this sort of breakdown to feed a multi-array problem into the Sun Grid Engine. The catch is that the Matlab plugin must also support my purpose written "Hey, Ingrid D.J." file format.

The multi-array problem must provide for a GPS driven event. Event monitoring is via live P2P streaming using my Ingrid software. The sort of job I thought suitable for Chronos Technologies, but sadly they have declined, leaving  this role for me to fix. (I am cc:ing this email to you Klaus back to Chris at Chronos expressing my regret at not being privy to his confidential advice. I do this in the hope that he will reconsider. Klaus, if you can ultimately convince Chris, that I know what I'm talking about, then I invite you to my ?? Chronos ?? sponsored event at a French Ski resort.)

NOW PLEASE ALLOW ME TO TAKE YOU INTO MY PRESENT:

bring it around one day next week and show you it working, have a good

What are you doing tonight? I'd love you to show it to me.

I'm going to town with a friend to launch, "DJ House Calls". Can you be on standby to meet me downtown tonight sometime say between 7:30 and 11:30, likely within 30 minutes of a phone call. I need several printed copies of this email to hand out as fliers.

Generalist Barman-DJ jobs are going at French Ski resorts between December and April, for Euro 1340pm after expenses. I'm going into town tonight to talk to 4-5 Barmen at dance pubs close to Britomart. I hope to sell my $430.00 training course to qualify them as Barman-DJ.

You come in as a guy from the crowd who is willing to have "Hey, Ingrid D.J." installed on his laptop and played on the dance floor. I'll bring my external caddy which has all the software and media.

Make sure your backup is done, as I know you haven't wanted to install Ingrid before. I also understand that you are rightfully suspicious of Ingrid in not wanting to risk the keeping of your laptop strictly for your business purposes. I respect you for that, but not on account of there being any security issues regarding Ingrid. However, there is now need for a direct involvement in your advisory role, as discussed at our last meeting.

I'm also cc:ing and asking Nigel to edit and print 5 copies of this email as handouts and hope he can deliver them here before I leave to catch the 7:24pm to Britomart. (Nigel I'm staying with "DJ House Calls" as a Google distinguishment. There are too many references to "DJ House" whereas there will be only one path to "DJ House Calls". Trust me.)

Please reply with a cell or skype number that my friend can phone.

Greetings Nigel,

Further to my email, "DJ House Calls", I have taken a dislike to the term "sticky tempo playlist shuffler", and chose, "tempostatic playlist shuffler" instead . I thought the term "tempostatic" better described the effect of my two spiral-sorted playlists sticking at the same tempo until a 3% divergence was reached.

However, when I researched the term, "tempostatic", I came up with this site. http://chronos.ws

The implications of this movie and the fact that the very same future corporation, "Chronos Technologies, Inc.", has used the art of movie making, and their site in Western Samoa, to cause a time-gate from the twenty second century to be opened. They hold the 2120 copyright on the technology. I intend them to take me on as an event supplier by then. These are likely the people who took the atomic clocks up into high-speed jets in order to prove time travel.

Until then, I think I should drop the 2% claim against ihug until supported by opinion closer to the event. The main reason for dropping the claim is because the other two criteria seem destined to dwarf it. I am talking about my projected life span and a way of accurately determining it in advance. Chronos makes reference to its first users as being governments. Therefore with this technology able to be demonstrated in a court of law, it should be possible to enforce a Freedom of Information claim on a matter of public record. I want you to research Richard Feynmans' claim that governments are already in communications with their history making future counterparts, and seeing as how they hold the public records, including my death certificate, they should be forced to reveal such information and/or risk bankruptcy.

If the government won't say how or when I die then they reveal a number of points, one of which could be that they no longer exist when my death occurs. If they don't then my published death certificate on the Ekus UN-incorporated web-site will show that my death from life as an Ekhuman minduploader was caused by suicide on September 7th, 2996. Furthermore, should the government confer on my pre-published date as would have existed for 1000 years, then, in order that the Chronos Technologies transfer that information to the court from at least the third millennium, one can conclude that the government must remain in existence past that point. That's a good thing from the government's point of view, eh?

Chronos say they can't call information from the future, only the past. My standing dispute with ihug has brought to light a way around this paradox, and I found the Achilles' Heal of Chronos Technologies, even to the point of changing their future.

After my close initial reading of their site I concluded that Ingrid's KarmaGun running on two CRTs pointing at each other from opposite sides of a wall would meet their specification for producing a time gate using the minimal energy requirements of a normal household.

Jim

Hello Jim,
Thank you for contacting us but no I do not think we can help.  Good luck in your venture however!

Kind regards

Dear All,

I would like to announce the implementation of the QDIAG algorithm for
simultaneous matrix diagonalization (e.g. for source separation
problems).

The software is available for downloading via the web-address:

using the link "QDIAG".

The QDIAG-method is described in detail in the upcoming publication:

R. Vollgraf and K. Obermayer, Quadratic Optimization for Simultaneous
Matrix Diagonalization, IEEE Transaction on Signal Processing, 2006,
in press.

The abstract is attached.

All the best
